SARAH HAVEN started Catkin Flowers in 2017 when two close friends asked her to grow flowers for their wedding. They requested all the flowers be either edible or dryable—wanting their flowers to have multi purpose. Five years later, their wedding flowers are still seen all around their home.

Through that experience, Sarah quickly learned she has a deep love for dried floral. Holding onto the bounty and brightness of summer into the depths of Maine’s winters became almost magical.

For the next two years, Sarah continued to grow dried flowers as a side project at Sheepscot General in Whitefield, Maine where she worked managing the vegetable fields. In 2020, she will lease a small piece of land in Brunswick and fill the fields and barns with dried flowers.
